That's Outrageous!: Teenage Scream Review

Synopsis:
Hailing from Poughkeepsie, New York, That's Outrageous! is a six piece band that blends epic pop choruses with intense, hair raising hardcore elements. Starting as a simple side project between their vocalists and drummer, they're now working harder than ever making a name for themselves in the industry.

Review:
With a music scene being flooded by bands of this genre did Rise Records take too much of a risk signing That’s Outrageous? One of the greatest and worst things about this band is their inconsistency. Every track has a different sound which gives them a great variety, but it makes this cd sound more like a demo and less professional. It was also nice to have Austin Carlile on board for “The New York Chainsaw Massacre” gives the band plenty of prowess with one of their heaviest songs. With a mix of pop and some intense hardcore this band is not groundbreaking, but has plenty of room to grow. As to the previously asked question, I believe Rise Records can bring the most out of this band if they can offer a musical direction without crushing the bands figurative “wings”. The moral to this story is simply “What Happens In Azeroth, Stays In Azeroth”. Lets all just hope this 6 piece...now 5 piece band can stay together long enough to grow and evolve in the music industry.
