The Devil Wears Prada: Dead Throne Review

Synopsis:
The Devil Wears Prada is an American metalcore band from Dayton, Ohio. Formed in 2005, they are currently signed to Warner Music Group. The Devil Wears Prada is a Christian band consisting of members Mike Hranica (vocals), Chris Rubey (lead guitar), Jeremy DePoyster (rhythm guitar, vocals), Andy Trick (bass), Daniel Williams (drums) and James Baney (keyboards), all of whom are Christians. To date, the group has released three full-length albums, one DVD, one EP, and five music videos.

Review:
Dead Throne is the sound of a band maturing into their genre and truly becoming united. With some of the greatest growls and screams to carry this album it makes for a very aggressive experience the whole way through. Most of the songs barely make it over three minutes, which just helps push the album and crush your ear drums. The constant change up is welcome with a very ambient aspect of metalcore, showing the talent of all the instruments. “My Questions” is a ridiculous metalcore shredding song that will have fans losing their freaking minds. The Keyboardist shines through on R.I.T. and “Vengeance” is a great way of judging how much this band has grown and evolved. The Devil Wears Prada has come an amazing distance in their genre, this album is a testament to that. I am thoroughly impressed with how vast the improvement was, something so rarely seen in metalcore.
