Synopsis:
Fireworks began in 2005 in the Metro Detroit area of Michigan, where they signed to the independent label, Run For Cover Records, who released their debut EP, We Are Everywhere, and 7" Adventure, Nostalgia and Robbery. From there on, the band toured extensively, until 2008, when they were signed by the well-known independent label, Triple Crown Records, home of other popular bands like As Tall As Lions, Fight Fair, Hit the Lights, and Honor Bright. There, Fireworks re-released We Are Everywhere, and in March 2009, they released their debut full-length, All I Have to Offer is My Own Confusion produced by Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory.
Review:
Fireworks is one of the rising stars in the music industry and this latest album “Gospel” looks to pave the way to a whole new brand of Pop Punk. Almost every single track will jump out and grab even the Pop Punk haters, like myself. Some of the songs like “Summer” were so well done that I applauded even when I was all alone listening to the CD. Some of the softer tracks such as “Teeth” didn’t really flow too well with the rest of the tracks, but never threw the album out of whack either. The band is rapidly growing and creating their own musical style that suits them perfectly. Expect more amazing this from this band and regardless of your musical preference this band deserves great recommendations to the whole world.
