Everyone Dies In Utah: +//- (Polarities) Review

Synopsis:
Everyone Dies In Utah were predominant in the music scene around 2008-2009 when they were first signed by Tragic Hero. During that time they toured and released an EP, after that they switched up the line-up and went into the studio in 2010 to create "Seeing Clearly".

Review:
Everyone Dies In Utah has yet again been overlooked as a band even though this is probably one of the best sophomore albums to date.  They did exactly as needed, picking apart the first album and combining all of those elements into “Polarities”. Danny and Justin return to drain every ounce of scream they contain into this album. The synthesizer has taken a backseat to the other instruments. Finally they crafted some of the most catchy lyrics and vicious breakdowns. These elements form “Polarities”, and while it does stray away from the electronic they still manage to retain the charm created within “Seeing Clearly”. A majority of the industry has tried to move away from this style of music; however Everyone Dies In Utah has gritted their teeth and ran the gauntlet to demonstrate how progression truly works. Justin Yost is by far one of the most under-rated vocalists “Desoto 55” and “Simply Me 2” stand as examples. The industry has become isolated, with many labels looking for the next gimmick that will provide sizable amounts of money. I commend Everyone Dies In Utah for trying to steer away from trends and stick with what their fans love.
